Tidewater Arts Outreach (TAO) invites all art and music aficionados to Decorum, an upscale furniture store at 301 W 21st Street in the Ghent section of Norfolk on Saturday, Jan. 31 from 7 – 10 p.m. Decorum is hosting TAO’s annual Instruments of Art Celebration and Auction, which features artwork, live and silent auctions, live music and refreshments.
For this event TAO has engaged regional artists to transform more than 30 musical instruments into works of art, showcasing the distinctive talent of each artist. The entire collection can be seen online beginning in early January at TidewaterArtsOutreach.org.
At the Jan. 31 celebration, admission includes gourmet hors d’oeuvres and two drinks. Live jazz by the Jimmy Masters Trio. Artwork and other fine gifts and packages will be auctioned via silent and live auction formats; a range of work is available for purchase. Credit cards, checks and cash are accepted. Dress is cocktail attire, with a creative, comfortable or casual flair. Tickets are $45 in advance / $55 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online.
